Yala National Park

Overview

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and is world-renowned for its variety of wild animals, especially its high density of leopards.

The park is a tapestry of semi-arid scrub forest, lagoons, and sandy beaches, providing a habitat for elephants, crocodiles, sloth bears, and a stunning array of endemic and migratory birds.
